TEAM READ welcomes mature students at Seattle public schools with the following qualifications:

• Strong interest in working with children
• Fluent in English (Please contact your ESL teacher for guidelines)
• Minimum 2.7 GPA and/or higher grades in reading-related subjects**
• Good attendance record
• Age 14 or older
• References by teachers and/or school personnel
• Social security card or equivalent documentation of identity
• Parent permission

**Waiver of 2.7 GPA requirement may be made on a case by case basis for students who exhibit a strong proficiency in reading/language arts and qualities of an effective tutor.
